Michael Jascz is the Founder and Executive Director of The Relationship Foundation. He has a degree in Social Sciences from the Honors Program at Ohio State University and has trained with renowned relationship experts Harville Hendrix and Marshall Rosenberg. He has been giving presentations and workshops on relationships since 2002.  Michael is dedicated to bringing about a new awareness of the dynamics of healthy relationships with the goal of making Healthy Relationships a component of our educational process, engaging not only students but parents and educators as well.

 


Sarah Sakura
is the Director of Operations. She is a graduate of the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis where she graduated magnum cum laude with a degree in International Business with an emphasis on Economics & Strategy and a minor in Psychology. Her business experience has primarily focused on the corporate sector, including Sony BMG and Kaye Scholer LLP, while volunteering her personal time to philanthropic efforts.

 


Akhmose Ari-Hotep
is an instructor at the Relationship Foundation. From Newark, New Jersey, he is a graduate of Rutgers University with a degree focusing on African American and African studies along with Women Studies. He identifies The Relationship Foundation as the best outlet of continuing his passion and purpose for empowering our youth at this time.

 

Derrick Edwards is an instructor at the Relationship Foundation. He has worked as a paraprofessional with autistic children, is a substitute teacher for the Department of Education, and also tutors privately. Derrick is also a licensed tour guide, teaching the history and culture of New York City with groups varying from grade school students to senior citizens. Derrick believes in the common bond that we all share and celebrate and the power of healthy relationships in every day life.

 

Rebecca Kuhn, Curriculum Developer and Instructor. Rebecca is a high school teacher in a New York City public school. She co-taught the Healthy Relationships 101 curriculum with Michael Jascz in 12th grade English classes during the 2009-2010 academic year. She has been instrumental in designing innovative new material. Rebecca graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Education from Pace University. She serves as the president of an educational honors society at Pace University. In her four years in the New York City public school system, she has witnessed the transformational quality of this program.

 

Asha Dixon is an instructor at The Relationship Foundation. She is a graduate of Spelman College where she received a degree in Psychology. Asha has been teaching for three years and is driven by her desire to enhance a youth’s life with knowledge. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Educational Psychology. Asha believes that the programs The Relationship Foundation offers are giving an awareness to youth that they will keep and cherish throughout their lives.

 

Taylor Mason is the Director of Communications and Technology. He is a graduate of Northeastern University where he earned a degree in Psychology. In addition to his duties as a director, Taylor works to develop methods of statistical analysis to show the effect our program can have on the emotional and academic progress of our students.
