The Relationship Foundation was set up in 2008 by relationship coach Michael Jascz. In 2007, Jascz was invited to speak to a group at a high school in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood. After the presentation, an administrator commented that he had not seen such a transformation in a group of students in his ten years at the school. Subsequently, the principal asked Jascz to build a program to provide Relationship Education for the sophomore classes in the school.
The program has since been expanded to become an extensive curriculum called Healthy Relationships 101, and has been taken into schools in the New York City area and across the country, reaching more than 500 students through workshops, assemblies and classes. In the last 12 months, The Relationship Foundation has expanded its programs to include a workshop for parents that ties in with the student curriculum as well as professional development for staff and teachers.
